::NEWS & SPECIAL EVENTS:: -RALLY AROUND THE THEATRE "Rally Around the Theatre" was a great success thanks to everyone who changed their busy Saturday night schedules on short notice to join us. People young and old came to stand with us and celebrate our Grand Lady. Some stayed for the entire two hours, some came for part of the time, but the entire night we had a wave of support for the DuPage Theatre that we can all be proud of. Motorists showed their support by responding to our popular slogan "Beep It to Keep It." The kids really enjoyed getting people in their cars to honk their horns. Attendees talked about their frustration with the sudden action of the Lombard Board of Trustees on June 2 to demolish the theatre. They demonstrated that this grassroots organization is gaining momentum and will continue its efforts to stop the wrecking ball from razing this historic building. We
didn take any official count, but we can report that we have 205
signatures on our petition. If youd like to sign our petition and
