::NEWS & SPECIAL EVENTS::

Thank you, so much, to everyone who attended last nights Village Board
meeting. With your help, over 100 people showed their support for the
theater. To those of you who were unable to join us, below is a brief review
of what transpired at the meeting. This is a very positive move for our
theater, and we are very encouraged with the 6-0 vote the Village Trustees
gave us last night.

Again,
Our Sincere Thanks.

Last night was quite a night for the DuPage Theatre. Richard Curto
and Daniel Coffey made an impressive presentation of their proposal to
the Lombard Village Board last night. Our own Martin Carroll and Ian
Parr provided strong arguments in support of the project. Friends of
the DuPage Theatre packed the Village Hall. Representatives from the
Lombardian and the Spectator were present.

The Foundation succeeded in getting the proposal referred to village
staff for review and analysis, avoiding further review by trustees.
The staff report is to be received by the board at the earliest
possible date. Trustee Ken Florey pushed for the report to be submitted

to the existing board, which is scheduled to meet only one more time
before two new trustees take over.

Martin Carroll agreed to submit a letter canceling the redevelopment
agreement between the foundation and the Village. If the Board decides
to go forward with the project, the Village will prepare a new
development agreement with the Foundation.
