The Friends of the DuPage Theatre Executive Committee meets on the second Wednesday of every month.

The general meeting of the Friends of DuPage Theatre is scheduled once a year, date determined by the executive committee.

Welcome to our new website!

Since 2002, the Friends of the DuPage Theatre have worked with other local organizations to strengthen the regard of art and history in the Village of Lombard. What started as a grass-roots effort to save the historic DuPage Theatre and Shoppes, once listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has grown into a movement to protect the quality of life in the Lilac Village by promoting and protecting the diversity of art and cultural treasures that are vital to our community.

Though the DuPage Theatre was lost to demolition in 2007, much has been gained in the years hence, including new legislation that disallows the use of TIF funds for the destruction of historic properties, a new and acclaimed annual sculpture show in historic Lilacia Park during Lilac Time and support of many local artists and historic endeavors.

The Friends of the DuPage Theatre continue to advocate for and work toward bringing a performing arts and theatre center to Lombard. Such a plan will enrich the area with a new destination, invigorating the downtown economy and adding another inspiring element to the quality of life here in the Lilac Village.

We are currently working on a new website that will continue the spirit of our Grand Dame. For email updates, send us your email address at info@dupagetheatre.org.

Thank you for your continued support!
